Terrie

Welcome to my world! A world of trends and traditions, daisies and dendrobiums mystery and, of course, a little magic!

My passion for Event Design began as a passion for life. Where else can you blend every color of the rainbow, and bend every rule in the book, until you’ve created something as uniquely individual as the love two people share. Together with the most imaginative team of designers and the most dedicated team of support personnel, I have been privileged to share in the joy of over a thousand couples as they plan perhaps the biggest single event of a lifetime.

And yet – when a new client calls, I get excited all over again! I can’t wait to make the journey that will lead us through a bit of “make-believe” as we collect and select the many pieces that will ultimately, and quite magnificently, come together to create the “day of your dreams.”

Tammy

Floral and Event Designer

When the going gets tough, Tammy gets going! One of “The Salvagno Sisters,” Tammy has been with the company since its inception in 1996. Tammy got her first job as a floral designer while in high school, and regularly joins the team during the event season. Always on top of the latest trends in interior decor, Tammy’s sense of style adds a fresh perspective to event design. Tammy’s daughter, Haley, is a student of interior design, and has recently stepped up as an on-site decorating assistant.

Clint and Betty

Party Dog Rentals

In order to meet the demand for high quality, clean and unique event rentals, Salvagno’s maintains its own inventory of rental equipment under the business name “Party Dogs Rentals.” Clint Salvagno, known as “The Rental Wizard,” is a master at procuring – or building – whatever specialty equipment might be required to satisfy unique design challenges. Having experience as a machinist, fabricator and welder, Clint is an all- around “get it done” kind of guy. Together with his wife Betty and a team of maintenance and delivery personnel, Party Dogs is primarily responsible for delivery and installation of equipment necessary to accomplish the ultimate event designs Salvagno’s has become known for.

Bill and Joan

Prop Design & Engineering

Known as “Dad” and “Mom,” it is Bill and Joan who passed along the philosophy that with a little drive and imagination, anything is possible! A cabinetmaker by trade, the Salvagno’s retail store is located on the premises that formerly housed Bill’s cabinet shop. Bill and Joan “retired” in 1996, only to find they have been kept busy beyond imagination with design and engineering tasks. In addition to building specialty props (such as the 50 wrought iron candelabra in our rental inventory), Bill and Joan were instrumental in achieving the four gold and three silver ribbons awarded Salvagno’s for the Glenn County exhibits at Cal Expo.

Jim

Floral Designer

“Designer Extraordinaire!” is the title that best describes Jim Mackey. Jim joined the team in 1998, and Salvagno’s considers itself incredibly fortunate to have such a masterfully skilled floral designer on staff! Jim’s talents date back to the “heyday” of the floral design industry – back when a designer really knew something about design! Whether traditional or trendy, Jim has the knowledge and background to artfully blend the elements of design into one-of-a-kind floral artistry. Besides the twelve years with the Salvagno’s team, Jim’s design work experience includes over 30 years as head designer and manager of Christian and Johnson Florist in Chico.

Sara

Administrative Assistant

Every successful business has one … the “Go-To Girl” that everyone relies on to keep things running smoothly! Without a doubt, Sara is our most diversified team member, having worked in all areas of all three businesses. Recently, Sara has been promoted to the position of Terrie and Clint’s “Administrative Assistant,” and oversees timelines, contracts and ordering. Sara is also an up-and-coming talent in the event design company, often overseeing on-site activities and working as an apprentice designer. Her boundless energy and radiant personality are uplifting, and add a sense of humor and spirit to the organization.

All About Us

To do what you love is perhaps the greatest gift...

The one thing that can be said about the event industry is that you don’t do it for the money....you do it for the passion, and the satisfaction of knowing you have fulfilled a dream, perhaps the greatest “Day”-dream of a lifetime.

The team at Salvagno’s is a family...

figuratively and quite literally! Looking back, the long-time success of Salvagno’s is due to our cohesion as a family, and our collective talents as a family. As the biographies of our management team suggest, our background and skills are broad and diversified, and together there isn’t anything we can’t do!

Once a home-based operation, the business has developed into a full-scale, full-time commitment for the management team and staff. Seasonal employees return as needed, most of whom have been with the company for many years. Without exception, every member of the Salvagno’s team is experienced and dedicated … and above all, “Passionate!”
