Louis and Ashley

Lakeside Pavilion

Ashley and Louis were easy to please: “Just make it beautiful!” were my instructions (along with a postscript suggestion that Ashley liked bold jewel tones). So, beautiful it would be!

Church designs were designed atop wrought iron pedestals, and would include a combination of dahlias, lilies and gladiolas. Colors in a palate of deep plums, purples, oranges and reds complimented the burgundy carpet of St. John’s Catholic Church.

Guests had never seen The Pavilion in such fall splendor, with mahogany chiavari chairs setting the tone, and towering vases filled with fall flowers and curly willow. The bride’s family had long been involved with the Department of Fish and Game, with the bride having spent many of her growing years around fish hatcheries. It seemed fitting, and the guests were entertained when it was discovered that the centerpiece vases included softly drifting Beta fish in shades of blue and purple.
