Nathan and Alexis

Our Lady of Mercy Church
Riverview Country Club
Redding, CA

Bride-to-Be Alexis Skipitis and her mother Jan worked closely with our coordination and event design team in planning this incredible "social event of the decade."   A full year in the planning, we begn by creating an inspiration board that quickly filled with linen swatches, flower samples, monogram graphics, and rental equipment photos. Attention was paid to every detail, with several private stagings conducted to carefully review the table settings and interaction of flowers, specialty linens, china, and papery.

The bride carried Konfetti roses gathered in a petite nosegay.  Ceremony decor was simple and dignified -- orange callas and green cymbidium orchids majestically embracing the church's altar.  Matching aise markers adorned the pews with more callas and orchids flanking the back of the aisle.

The wedding progressed from ceremony to appetizers and cocktails, to fabulous dinner and dancing, with each venue more spectacular than the last.  The cocktail reception was crisp and bright as cocktail tables were draped with orange lamour linens tied with an apple green sash. Fabrics were hand selected for custom linen drapes designed by our in-house tailors to cover the appetizer station.  Corresponding fabric was crafted to adorn the multitude of hanging Chinese lanterns suspended from above.  Riverview's catering staff created an abundant and scrumptuous display of appetizers that served as the focal point of the cocktail hour.  Two custom bars were built – one serving signature martinis from a martini tower.  Lounge furniture was strategically placed to create conversation areas to encourage guest interraction.

Upon invitation to the dinner reception, guests entered through an enchanted forest of curly willow, white dendrobium orchids and hanging votive lanterns. The floor was profusely abundant with silk rose petals.  Linen draiping of copper crushed taffeta complimented custom table linens of orange pintuck.  Specialty party rentals included hammered glasss china, leaf patterned amber chargers and mahogany chiavari chairs.

Working with massive quatities of flowers, our design team worked on-site to design exotic towering centerpieces of ilies, roses and orchids. Centerpiece spotlights highlighting feather butterflies and overhead stage lighting amid the ceiling rafters created a dramatic glow.  The beautifully sculpted fondant cake appeared to be "floating" on a bed of flowers -- the dramatic effect of the custom-designed acrylic table fabricated for the event.

The bride and grooms personal monogram was a common design element and was iincluding on invitations, menu cards, table numbers and the dance floor gobo lighting.

It was an exceptional privilege and pleasure to have been selected to design, coordihnate and facilitate this event. An "army" of 24 of our best designers, fabricators, and event rental specialists worked intimately and tirelessly with the staff of Riverview Country Club to create this dream wedding.
